At their Presentation Dinner, the Club presented Sue Wilkins with a cheque for £600.
This was made in memory of a long standing member and Sue’s husband Clive – who died just over 12 months ago from Asbestosis.
The cheque was presented by Trust chairperson, Rob Robinson and was given to Asbestos Support Central England.
The event was held at the New Oscott Retirement Village.
It brought the total raised by the Club for various local charities in recent years to over £2,700.
Other good causes benefitting have been MS Support, Parkinson’s local support, the Cancer Support Centre and Macular Degeneration Support.
In addition, the Club also supports the annual British Legion Poppy Appeal organised by member David Ballantyne.
